Technical documentation for approved Dealer Management System providers integrating vehicle stock feeds with Autohitch.
An Autohitch stock integration should send stable vehicle and dealer identifiers, registration, make, model, derivative, year, mileage, price, status, source creation date and usable image URLs. Records must distinguish available, reserved and sold stock, and updates should be idempotent so repeated delivery does not create duplicates. The source creation date represents when the vehicle genuinely entered stock; it must not be replaced with each sync time.
Integrators should validate required values before transmission, preserve Unicode manufacturer names and avoid placeholder models such as Unknown or Not Recorded. Image URLs must resolve publicly and should not point to placeholders or unsupported third-party CDN sources. Dealers need a consistent identity and a clean locality separate from multiline postal addresses. When a vehicle becomes unavailable, send the status change promptly so it is removed from public listings and sitemap output. Authentication credentials must be exchanged through an approved secure channel rather than email or support messages. This page remains excluded from search indexing because it supports approved technical partners rather than car buyers.
